About Kareem Abouzeid
Our auto shop’s owner, Kareem Abouzeid, has been working in the collision repair industry with skilled collision experts for most of his life. As a young teenager, he swept floors in a local repair shop in Chico. He gradually learned the ropes through hands-on training with experienced auto body technicians, and training lasted from his late teens to his early 20s. Knockout Collision Repair was founded in 1999 with the goal of providing stellar collision repair services to our local clients. While Kareem Abouzeid received extensive hands-on training from some of the finest technicians in the area, he continued his education by attending training sessions and industry seminars periodically over the years. Through a focus on quality workmanship, attention to detail and friendly customer service from a team of qualified auto body repair experts, Knockout Collision Repair maintains an “A” customer rating on Angie’s List and continues to be the trusted shop that local drivers turn for superior collision repair work.

Yes, we work with all insurance companies. We provide all the necessary paperwork and communication to make sure your claim is processed smoothly. We’re not tied to any insurance companies as preferred providers, which means we always work in your best interest, ensuring your car is repaired correctly according to the manufacturer’s specifications.
Absolutely not. You have the right to choose where your vehicle gets repaired. California law supports your freedom to select the repair shop that you trust, and no insurance company can force you to change your choice.
We always follow the vehicle manufacturer’s guidelines to ensure your car is restored to its original condition using the best parts available. We primarily use new parts made by your vehicle’s manufacturer. Only in cases where these parts are not available, and with your full agreement, would we consider using alternative high-quality parts to get you back on the road safely.
In many cases, yes, your insurance will cover original manufacturer parts, especially if your car is a newer model or has low mileage. Some insurance policies also offer an upgrade for a small extra cost to always cover manufacturer parts. If your accident wasn’t your fault, the responsible party’s insurance should cover the cost of using these high-quality parts.
You do! In California, only the vehicle owner can authorize repairs. While insurance companies may suggest repairs, they do not have the final say. We always work with you, the vehicle owner, to decide the best course of action for your car.
If there’s a remaining balance after insurance, there are a few ways to handle it:
- If the claim was through your insurance, you can contact their Customer Relations to explain and often, they will cover the remaining costs.
- If another driver was at fault and their insurance won’t cover everything, you can request payment directly from them. If they don’t pay, you might have to consider small claims court, but usually, it doesn’t come to that as insurance companies settle once they receive formal requests.
